banners  ~

My most recent role at AKQA was development lead for Audi's display advertising.

  • I built SUV Family animations using TweenMax, based on Audi's brand guidelines
  • This e-Tron unit maintains user selections through to the Audi site.
  • For the A8 banners, my task was to add the scripted, interactive node garden animations. I used Create.js here, since it was already being loaded for the Animate CC content provided by my colleague.
  • The triangles represented Audi’s “space frame” techology. I enjoyed developing the fluid interaction.

I worked on many other brands at AKQA, including Autodesk, Burt’s Bees, Gap, Google, Netflix, Nike, Red Bull, Target and XBox.

  • Levis did several campaigns with us.
  • Hemlibra and Ocrevus are Genentech brands.
  • These Caterpillar banners were simple but effective.
  • I was lead developer for the Visa GO campaign a few years ago.

Audi A8 video unit  ~

I was the developer for this desktop-only custom video unit promoting the launch of the new Audi A8.
I enjoyed adding the animations that play during interaction.

sites  ~

AKQA has used Adobe Experience Manager for several clients. I managed assets and styled AEM pages for Nike Jordan, Activision, and Genentech brands.

  • The Jordan home page went through many updates which I implemented. It has changed, but retains our layout and page structure.
  • The We are Jordan page is still live as I delivered it in July of 2017.
  • I wrote responsive CSS styles for Genentech’s Lucentis, Esbriet and Fuzeon sites.

Now that you‘ve seen some of my work, let me tell you about myself.

I’m part designer and part developer. My specialties are animation, interactive rich media and display advertising.

I was at AKQA for 14 years, building banners, styling responsive sites and managing a team that developed HTML5 content. Before AKQA, I enjoyed working at Last Gasp, where I did design and production work for print and web.

I especially enjoy working with type and motion. Tools I use include HTML/CSS, JavaScript, GSAP, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, AfterEffects), Figma and Sketch. I'm experienced with ad vendors Sizmek, Flashtalking and Google/DoubleClick.

In my personal life, I enjoy playing musical instruments, bicycling, and spending time with my family.

I love bringing good creative ideas to life, wherever they originate.
